The animation, which takes about 4 weeks per episode, is sent to England for voiceovers upon completion. Each episode features two songs which are presented as singalongs, with the animated Beatles coaching the viewers as lyrics (complete with the bouncing ball) flash along the bottom of the screen). The show does well for two years before going up against CBS's "Space Ghost", and is moved to Sunday mornings for 1968 and 1969 (although only in reruns).

December 3 - the group releases their first double-A-side single, "We Can Work It Out/Day Tripper" in the UK (December 6 in the US), along with the LP Rubber Soul and all reach US and UK #1 on their respective charts.
